If you’re in Scotland and you’re searching for more local beverages to try, you’re in the right place. Drinkly has a brilliant selection of Scottish drinks just waiting to be ordered and delivered chilled. Whether it be an easy to drink lager or a harder whisky, we’ve got you covered. Here are a few of our favourite picks from Scotland, along with some fun info about them!

Glen’s Vodka

If you’re looking for a smooth vodka to use as a mixer or standalone drink, Glen’s is the one for you. It is owned and produced by the Loch Lomond Group, a Scottish company, and is made at the Catrine Distillery in Ayrshire. This vodka is quite contemporary, having only been established in the 1970s. Coming first against top-shelf brands such as Grey Goose and Absolut in a blind test taste, Glen’s Vodka is guaranteed to meet and go beyond your expectations. It is produced from sugar beet, boasting a clean finish with hints of lemon.

Famous Grouse Whisky

When it comes to a well-rounded, rich whisky, Famous Grouse is unrivalled. This blended Scotch whisky is strong with hints of oak, sherry and citrus. It thrives with its clean and fruity flavour. The Famous Grouse originated in the late 1800s and is currently produced and owned by The Edrington Group.

Innis & Gunn Lager

Innis & Gunn is based in Edinburgh, the heart of Scotland. It is a more modern company itself, originating in 2003. Despite its youth, Innis & Gunn has made a name for itself in the market, winning a multitude of awards, renowned for its quality. Their lager has won a variety of awards itself, and is carefully crafted so that it is refreshing and flavourful by adding zesty aromatic hops and naked golden oats to the brew. We recommend Innis & Gunn in its entirety, but if we had to choose, we’d definitely go for their lager.

Edinburgh Gin

A Scottish twist on the typical London Dry style– that’s Edinburgh Gin in a nutshell. This gin has been rising in the market since 2010, quickly making a name for itself in the industry. The company prides itself on the history and culture of Edinburgh, inspired by the art and science of the capital city. Edinburgh Gin is created with a carefully balanced blend of 13 botanicals for a distinctively soft Scottish flavour, featuring native heather, milk thistle and pine. This award-winning contemporary gin is sure to win you over.

Glasgow Gin

This gin is all about personality, echoing that famous Glaswegian sense of humour. It’s fun and playful, standing as another great modern gin. It’s easy to drink, light, fresh, and fruity. Glasgow Gin is produced at the Langley Distillery in an antique copper pot named ‘Constance.’ No corners are cut– it’s made from a quadruple-distilled pure grain spirit from 100% wheat, then redistilled using ten flavoursome botanicals, creating a gin of outstanding flavour and smoothness. This is another award-winning option to keep in mind when browsing our Scottish selection.

These five drinks are only a few of our great Scottish choices, so if you’re in Scotland or are sending a gift to our bonnie city, we recommend trying them out. Just pop in your postcode above, have a wee look around and order so that we can deliver to you in under an hour– chilled and ready to drink.
