1. What is the Drinkly mission?
We’re passionate about drinks, and understand that our customers are too. We want to provide quality, choice and convenience to our customers by offering a range of top quality beers, wines and spirits, and delivering them as quickly as possible to the comfort of their home or office, chilled if needed.
2. Why would I use Drinkly, there’s a shop for that?
You can buy a pizza, order a taxi in 2 minutes or even find yourself a hot date for the evening, all by just turning to your phone. But until now, you haven’t been able to order your favourite beers, wines and spirits at the click of a few buttons – we’re here to change that!
Perhaps you don’t live beside a decent off licence or don’t want to get caught in the rain, can’t leave the house, have friends over, don’t want to miss your favourite TV show, run out of drinks at a party or need to send a last-minute gift: there’s plenty of situations where we’ve got you covered!
Ordering from Drinkly saves you from having to lug heavy carrier bags up the stairs, queue at a shopping till or sit in slow moving traffic whilst your ice cold lagers become, well, not so ice cold. We’re putting the fun back into drinking; no hassle, no stress, just delicious refreshments enjoyed at your own convenience.
3. Is there a minimum spend?
No! We’re huge advocates of drinking responsibly, and so if it’s just the one can or bottle you’re after, then that’s fine with us!
4. What is the delivery charge?
Our delivery charge depends on what city you’re in. In most cities it’s £4.99 for under £20 worth, £3.50 for an order between £20 and £40, or free delivery for orders over £40. Remember, an unopened bottle won’t spoil for a long time so you may as well stock up… £4.99 on delivery or £4.99 on some more drinks, we know how we’d rather spend it!
5. Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver to all homes and offices within Edinburgh bypass (that’s most EH1 to EH17 postcodes), within central Glasgow (G1-5, G11& G12 & G20, G21, G22, G31, G33, G40, G41, G42, G51) and within London Mayfair. If you’re in the red area below, we’ve got you covered.
6. What times are you open/when can I order?
In Edinburgh we are open from 10am-10pm Monday – Saturday and Sundays noon-11pm. In Glasgow we are open from 4pm-10pm Monday – Friday and 10am – 10pm on weekends. In London Mayfair we are open from 8am-8pm 7 days a week. However our website is live 24 hours a day if you wish to pre-order for the following day.
In Scotland, in keeping with Scottish alcohol laws, we cannot legally accept orders past 10pm for same day delivery.
7. Can I track my order?
Once you have placed your order, you will be sent a text with a link which allows you to track your driver’s location.
8. Can I change my order after I’ve placed it?
We all get a little click happy sometimes and accidentally forget a crucial item; if you give the retailer a call as soon as possible on the phone number at the bottom of your confirmation email, they’ll do their best to change the order. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee a change if your order is already packed and on its way to you.
9. How do I cancel my order?
To cancel your order, please phone the retailer on the number at the bottom of your confirmation email. Note that you will be still be charged the standard delivery fee.
10. I can’t find the drink I’m looking for, will it become available in the future?
We have hand selected a great selection of brands that we love and think you’ll love too. Thus range is constantly updated to keep up with current drinks trends and new products but if you’re looking for something specific and can’t wait to get your hands on it, please drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org – we’ll aim to source it and get it on Drinkly sharpish!
11. What steps do you take to make sure the service can’t be used by under 18s?
At checkout you’re asked to select a valid form of ID; either a driving licence or passport. Our trained drivers will check this ID upon delivery, to make sure that you’re over the age of 18 and also that the delivery is going to the right person.
12. Do you have any plans to expand to other cities?
Yes, we’re expanding across the UK so keep your eyes open for Drinkly!
